FUCHS Lubricants-sponsored racing teams have shown a good start to the 2019 racing season producing good results in their various Motorsport categories.

Wilford Racing - V8 Supercars Deliver Expectations
Fourteen V8’s provided a nail biting racing throughout the weekend of 8-9 March during the Extreme Festival held at Zwartkops Raceway, and when the dust finally settled on Saturday afternoon, after two race heats, FUCHS Lubricants-sponsored Terry Wilford emerged as the leader of the Mobil 1 V8 Supercars with 43 points.

Wilford in his Ford Falcon put on a spectacular performance by finishing in 3rd and 1st positions respectively during Round 1 of the 2019 Mobil 1 V8 Supercars Championships. In three weeks, the V8 supercars will face off again, this time for round 2 of the championship at Zwartkops Raceway.

Monroe Racing - Nothing can break Ramsay’s fighting spirit
Following a number of mechanical challenges faced by the Monroe Racing team in Round 1, the car was fixed and ready to race again in Round 2 of the Motormart VW challenge held at Zwartkops.
During the qualifying race, the FUCHS Lubricants-sponsored Monroe Racing team driver Lyle Ramsay showed his determination finishing 2nd.

Race 1: Unfortunately, Ramsay’s fighting spirit was dampened as he had to retire from the race due a mechanical problem.

Race 2:  Ramsay started in 6th position and again mid-way through the race the mechanical problems persisted which saw him finishing 5th.  The third round of the 2019 MotorMart VW Challenge will take place at Midvaal Raceway on Saturday, April 13.
