FUCHS LUBRICANTS ACHIEVES LEVEL ONE B-BBEE STATUS
FUCHS Lubricants South Africa, the German-based lubricants manufacturer and the world’s largest privately-owned lubricants company, has achieved Level 1 B-BBEE Contributor status, valid from 1 March 2019.
Paul Deppe, FUCHS Lubricants SA managing director, said this is the culmination of a number of years of hard work and is an achievement the entire company is proud of, and especially FUCHS’ overseas.
“We place a high level of importance on our staff and their training. In preparation for the launch last year of our R125 million grease plant expansion in Isando, we identified existing staff comprising grease makers, a supervisor, maintenance engineer and production manager who were all sent to Germany for training.”
“This year, thirty eight students will receive financial assistance from FUCHS Lubricants South Africa (FLSA) for studies through the FLSA Bursary Scheme and FUCHS Foundation Trust. The idea is to facilitate access to education for deserving students who otherwise will not have the opportunity or whose chances of success may be compromised due to inadequate financial resources.”
“FUCHS Lubricants is a global company with German roots that has developed, produced and sold lubricants and related specialties for more than 85 years covering virtually all areas of application and sectors. We are innovators not only in the technology we provide, but also in our people, and as an organisation we are proud of these achievements,” he said.
