2020 Motorsport Season Off to A Flying Start for FUCHS Teams - Race Report 1 Feb 2020
The first weekend of February saw the 2020 Motorsport Racing season getting off to a flying start for FUCHS Lubricants-sponsored teams in their various competitions.
Zwartkops Raceway hosted the 19th Passion for Speed Festival which saw Terry Wilford participate in Mobil 1 V8 Supercars. On Sunday, Michael Hendrina Louw raced in the Superbike Short Circuit Challenge where he competes in the Supermoto Masters series. He finished 2nd on all three heats, giving him a 2nd overall for the day in the series.
Dewald Brummer dominated Class B of the BRM Series at Midvaal. He qualified 6th in Class B, which is the faster group with turbo cars. Race 1: Brummer started in 6th and finished in 4th position. In Race 2 and 3: He started in 6th position and finished in first position in both races which secured him with first position for the day in his class.
RICH Racing SA. team of young riders wrapped up the first weekend racing with new recruit Zaidy Williams taking a double win in the Bridgestone Challenge and Chris-Marie #39 delivered a fine result on her maiden outing at Redstar Raceway Delmas South Africa for the Monocle Motorcycle Racing Series.
Team Truggy race season also got off to a good start as they were able to retain their championship lead after finishing 1st in Class P and 2nd overall for the day at their first club and regional Africa-Offroad Racing event, the #Schoemansfontein200 taking place in #Haarteesfontein, North West Province.
