P Trimborn and Bright’s Motorsport racing teams motorsport season started with a buzz as the FUCHS Lubricants-sponsored teams racers and drivers produced exceptional results in their competitions.

P Trimborn Team: Round 1 of the Zambian Championship (11 and 12 Jan)
 
The event was held in Mkushi consisted Classic Enduro and a MX race. Day 1: Darren Gray finished 4th overall in the Classic Enduro and 3rd in A1 Class and Michael Struik finished 2nd Overall in Junior’s and in Day 2:  Darren won the Enduro Class overall and Michael finished tied for 3rd overall in juniors. 

25 Jan - PTA rider Brett Peckham had a fantastic day out at the Eshowe X-Country finishing 10th in the Open Class. 

1 Feb - Michael Struik finished the Western Cape Off-Road in 2nd place overall in the 85cc class. 

7 Feb - Round 1 of the SA National Off-road championship held in Lesetho. The team had a good race. Darren Gray finished 6th in OR2 and Ross McKenzie 13th with this being his first National Enduro in the 125 High School Class. 

Bright’s Motorsport Team: Eastern Province Championship Round 1 

Bright’s Motorsport team driver Gordon Nicholson captured the eyes of many as he unveiled his newly refreshed FUCHS Nissan GTR at the first round of the Eastern Province Regional Modified Saloon Championship at Aldo Scribante Race track on February 8.

Nicholson Qualified on the second row of the grid. He finished third in all three heats to take third overall in Class A.

Daniel Bright Fuchs/Bright’s Motorsport Golf will be returning to take part in the Mopar four-hour endurance race with Tom Hugo as the second driver.

The team will now shift focus to the next event on the 21 March as father and son duo Steve FUCHS Chev Cruize and Bryn High return to the championship ready to collect more points.
