FUCHS Teams Cruising Through Their Motorsport Competitions
Despite 2020 being a challenging year for Motorsport, FUCHS Lubricants-sponsored teams are collecting maximum points and podium finishes in their respective competitions.
Bright’s Motorsport competitors came out on top at the most recent round at Aldo Scribante Race track in Port Elizabeth on Saturday. Bryn High dominated the E.P Regional Modified class in his Audi S4 taking pole position in qualifying by over Four seconds and winning three out of three races, giving him first overall for the day.
Daniel Bright took to the track in his revamped MK 1 VW Golf that was sure to stand out with its new blue paint work and livery. Bright started the day in class X and was moved into class E for the remainder of the event with finishing second overall in class.
New to the Bright’s Motorsport Andrew Boshoff (Outback Group) in his grey and green MK 1 golf in street, Boshoff came to the team in some need of set up and well needed care the car underwent a complete refresh to its cooling and suspension components as well as full race set up and a complete Fuchs lubricant replacement from Pro cool to keep it running at optimum temperature and all the cooling systems maintained, A 10w60 Race pro Oil change sure made a difference and showed great improvement to oil pressure and engine note. Boshoff did a new personal best over 4 seconds faster than his previous time.
Lyle Ramsay exceeds expectations in debut race.
Ramsay now racing in a BMW E36 330I race car took to the BMW Car Club Gauteng series at Red Star Raceway. Ramsay first race saw him finishing a credible 5th in class C, his third fasted lap time in the race, which meant he would start in second position on the grid for heat. In race 2, he finished 2nd place, giving him a second overall for the day.
A very special race weekend for team! 6 year Connor Knoetze competed in his very first race at the Michelin Supermoto South Africa event. Connor showed some hidden talent both on how to fall and how to obtain a podium and trophy first time out.
Michael Louw racing once again put on an impressive race as the father and son duo both finished second in the classes.
This weekend Mark Ansley will be racing a National motocross race at Thundervally Raceway in Pietermaritzburg this weekend.
