Astonishing Results Achieved From The Theewaterskloof Thundercat Showdown
After a few months without competing, the first water sport racing competition, Theewaterskloof Thundercat Showdown Event – sponsored by FUCHS Lubricants was held on Saturday 28 November.
Team Rusgenot Transport– The team duo of pilot (Marc Gleed) and Co-Pilot (Wiltas Leeuwner) had been carrying out a substantial amount of testing at Theewaterskloof Dam prior to the event with the aim of not only achieving the best possible result at this event but to also gather as much valuable information as possible in preparation for the coming World Championships that will be taking place in South Africa during October 2021 as well as the 2020/2021 National Championships.
Race day: Despite facing strong winds of up to 35kmh the team was well prepared, and they achieved maximum results taking overall wins all three heats on the day. The team is already preparing for the next event which takes place on the 19th of December 2020 at the same venue.
Race Weekend Ahead: 4 and 5 December
This weekend, Lyle ramsay will partner with Calvin Rademeyer Racing in Zimbabwe at Bulawayo Motorsport Park.
The South African Endurance Series season finale is set to conclude at Killarney International Raceway with the Stiaan Kriel Racing team looking to challenge for the Class E title.
Heading into the nine-hour race, Stiaan Kriel and Kosie Weyers occupy second place on the points table; 28 points behind the leaders. The race on Saturday is scheduled to start at 12:10 and will end at 21:10.
