Fuchs Lubricants Motorsport Racers Looking for Back-to-back Wins this Weekend
This years’ Super-GP champions Trophy coincides with the African Bike Week festival in East London. A double podium is the target for Lance Isaacs Racing as they head to the East London Grand Prix circuit for Round 2 of the SuperGP Champions Trophy this weekend 29 April.
After a very strong season opener in Cape Town, the spirits are high for the Fuchs Lubricants sponsored Lance Isaacs Racing squad. The 3,8km long track with two of the fastest corners in South Africa suits the BMW S1000RR.
The Monroe Racing South Africa superbike riders are getting ready for their second competitive coastal outing for the season. The team are entered into the regional 600cc categories which will run in conjunction with the national races. Savannah Woodward will be riding her Kawasaki ZX6. In preparation for the event, Woodward recently travelled to East London for a weekend of testing and is eager to race at the circuit.
Joining Woodward will be Luca Coccioni on his second outing with the team. He will be doing double-duty by competing in the national Super Juniors class in 600cc as well on his KTM 390 machine. Three practice sessions will take place on Friday and the all-important qualifying. Saturday will see a traditional warming up session followed by two races.
Meanwhile, on the back of a podium win for season start, Lyle Ramsay heads into Round 2, Class B of Comsol VW Challenge at Redstar Raceway in Mpumalanga. This will be Ramsay’s first outing on the anticlockwise Redstar Raceway. Round 2 of the Comsol VW Challenge will form part of the Extreme Festival weekend.
AM Racing’s, Alex Marques will also be in action for Round 2 of Superhatch season at Redstar Raceway in Mpumalanga. Alex races in the Autobarn SuperHatch / 111 Sports and Saloons Class E. The qualify round starts at 8am and main races which are 8 laps each, are at 11am and 15h30.
