Podium Finishes A Better Way To Kick Off The 2021 – Race Report 27 March
FUCHS Lubricants-sponsored teams plan to obtain podium finishes at their various motorsport competitions is still on track.
#LyleRamsay - Rich Racing SA’s Lyle Ramsay participated in his first race of 2021, the BMW Car Club Gauteng at Redstar Raceway Delmas South Africa.
Racing in his newly rebuilt and modified BMW, Lyle proved to be a force to be reckoned with. In race 1 Lyle finished 5th from a 9th place start. Race 2, a reverse grid and starting in 3rd position Lyle managed to pass his fellow competitors, opened a 10 second lead gap on the rest of the field to win the race. Overall, he was given a 2nd place podium finish for the day.
#MichaelSpeedRacing: Round 2 of the Superbike Mag racing (Michelin Supermoto Championship SA) took place at Polokwane track, Limpopo and as always, the team duo of father (Michael) and son (Joe) didn’t disappoint.
Joe rode well in all 3 heats and managed to finish in 4th position overall. Michael outperformed his competitors by finishing 1st overall for the day in the SMM Class.
Weekend’s racing: Rusgenot Transport, Infanta, Yamaha M1 piloted by Marc Gleed racing and Co-pilot Wiltas Leeuwner take to the Two Oceans Challenge 2021 taking place 3 – 4 April at Struisbaai, L'Agulhas.
