#Motorsporthighlights: Bitter Sweet Racing Results from FUCHS Teams – Race Report 4 and 13 April

The month of April has been a busy one for FUCHS Lubricants-sponsored teams who were once again in action in their various Motorsport competitions looking to collect maximum points.

Brights Motorsport Team: Round 3 of the Eastern Province Regional Championship

Round 3 of the Eastern Province Regional Championship that included Round 1 of the AMSC Endurance championship took place on 10 April 2021 at Aldo Scribante Raceway

Port Elizabeth.

The team fielded five cars in both the Modified saloons and Endurance Championship. 

In the EP Regional Saloons category, the star of the day was Xolela Njimbuxa, driving his Fuchs Lubricants VW POLO. He won all three of his races after gaining pole position in qualifying for Class F.  

Daniel Bright was victorious In Class E in his 2 litre Citi Golf. He was closely followed by Greg Forword in second place who showed some increased pace in his VW Polo. Third place finish went to Andrew Boshoff driving his Citi Golf.

Round 1 of the AMSC 45 had to be shortened due to extreme fog, yet Daniel Bright finished second on Index and Andrew Boshoff third.

The team’s six Enduro racers spent the night under the FUCHS branded gazebo on site preparing for their big race on Sunday.

In the 125 High School category, Ross Ramseyer finished 2nd in Class and 25th overall and Ross MaCkenzie was 5th in Class and 35th overall. Sam Pedlar raced under the 85cc and finished 10th in Class and 10th overall. The 200 Class saw Noah Maartens finishing 9th in Class and 23rd overall. In the Masters, races Bruce May finished 2nd in Class and 29th overall and Denzil Torlage 5th in Class and 41st overall.

Trenton Kretzman: MX Nationals PE

Round 2 of the MX Nationals took place in Port Elizabeth at one of the most challenging sand tracks.
Young Kretzman has a good day of racing as he qualified 1st, followed by victory in heat 1 and 3rd in heat 2. Overall, he was tied in first place for the day, and he is still in lead to win the championship.
 

Caden Weise #07 (AKA Booboo) - Rover National – 3 April 2021  

Caden raced 2nd National at his home track, Rover known to be an exceptionally difficult track as it is the only sandy track in the National Series. Cadie was given a 5th overall for the day.

Lyle Ramsay – BMW Club Race at Welkom Phakisa International Race

RICH Racing SA driver finished 4th in race 1. Race 2, the grid is reversed. Unfortunately, he had to retire early due to mechanical problems.
