Mixed Bag of Results for FUCHS Teams – Race Report 24 May
FUCHS Lubricants-sponsored teams faced a mixed bag of results at their various Motorsport Racing competitions - Race report 24 May
#MADRacing: The team’s VW Polo, driven by Dewald Brummer raced in the Silver Cup Racing 2.0 series at Zwartkops Raceway on Saturday, 24 May. In Heat 1, Dewald experienced electrical gremlins and a fuel pump problem. In Heat 2, with all mechanical issues sorted, Dewald showed some outstanding racing craft. Starting 21st on the grid he managed to pass a few of his competitors and on lap three he was in third position. However, a mechanical failure saw him pull out of the race again.
F400 Karting Endurance series: On Sunday, Dewald raced in Round 4 of the F400 Karting Endurance series at Vereeniging kart. The team walked away with two wins and one second place finish. Overall, they were given a 1st for the day.
Scribante Scuderia: Round 2 of the SA GT Racing Association #SAGTRA 2021 championship took place at Border Motorsport - East London Grand Prix Circuit. After an eventful day of racing, unfortunately, Aldo's Lamborghini Hurricane GT3 alternator caused low voltage which led to a misfire mid first race which led him to not compete any further. However, Silvio gave it his best performance and finished in second place.
Current log standings for the Scibante Scuderia team in the SA GT Racing Association show Silvio is 3rd with 123 points and Aldo 7th with 60 points.
This weekend's racing: HUD Racing - Mareetsane 300, round 4 of The Inland Off Road Championship
The E14 Nissan Hardbody driven by Rod Cook and navigated by Greg Parkin are going out to bring a trophy home after an extensive electronic and mechanical upgrade. The S14 Nissan Navara driven by Dave Huddy is on a development mission, bringing in 2 rookie navigators to do a lap each to continue the development of motorsport and off road racing that HUD Racing is so passionate about.
Both vehicles proudly fly the FUCHS Lubricants sponsorship, and look forward to a weekend of great racing and hopefully a few podiums.
