Roller Coaster Ride of Results for FUCHS Teams - Race Report 5 June
HUD Racing: Round 4 of the TIORC - The Inland Off Road Championship, the 2021 Mareetsane 300, was held on Saturday 29 May 2021. It proved to be a challenging and twisty route, over varied terrain and farmland.
FUCHS Lubricants-sponsored HUD Racing’s E14 Nissan Hardbody had a great day out, starting in 24th seeding in the time trial, the team managing to start in 13th position for the main race.
Firing the car off the line, Rod Cook and Greg Parkin set a solid and consistent pace, evading both obstacles and mechanical difficulties to place 4th overall out of the production vehicles and take podium in E Class.
Unfortunately, the S14 Nissan Navara didn’t have a great day out, suffering a mechanical issue at the start of the time trial and just not able to make it back into the race.
Lyle Ramsay: Coming from a bittersweet experience at Phakisa raceway, which saw Rich Racing SA driver Lyle unable to finish the race due to mechanical problems.
The Bridgestone BMW Car Club championship visited the Zwartkops Raceway near Pretoria as part of a Club Track Day. Race 1: Racing in In Class C, Ramsay experienced a difficult race as he gave it his best to pass his fellow competitors.
Race 2: With guns blazing, Ramsay, racing in his BMW E36 330i, showed amazing skill as he held his own finishing 3rd.
