FUCHS Lubricants-sponsored teams once again put on an exceptional performance at their Motorsport Competitions - Race Report 21 August

Thundercat Racing: The team once again returned to Theewaterskloof Dam for the annual Theewaters Winter Extreme event and our team was as determined as ever to retain our recent unbeaten record at this popular racing venue. With the very experienced JD Van Niekerk co-piloting, we were confident of a podium position.

Race 1: First up was the 100km longhaul event which saw the team get off to an excellent start and finished the race in first place.

Race 2: The circuit racing event saw teams participate in two 6 lap heats. Racing in the Modified Class, the team was once again victorious in both heats. This gave them an overall first place position for the day in Class.

Bright’s Motorsport Team: The teams’ dominance was once again felt during the Eastern Province Regional Modified Championship with consistency and reliability showing a key factor in securing points in the championship.

Team Drivers Greg Forword, Daniel Bright and Xolela Njumbuxa all scored vital points in their overall class standing and in the overall standings.

In Class D, Greg Forword finished 3rd in both races in his E36 BMW and Daniel Bright finished 4th in his MK1 VW Golf.  Xolela Njumbuxa finished 3rd in Class F in his Polo 1.2Tsi.
