FUCHS LUBRITECH takes another decisive step into the digital age. The tablet has superseded manufacturing instructions on paper thus reducing error rates, improving work safety and ensuring smooth production processes.

Now, paper is only needed at one step of the overall manufacturing process. "At the beginning of their work day, employees receive their work orders on paper. Before the digital production process, this included quite a number of pages containing all data related to the required raw materials and accurate instructions for the manufacture of the product. Today those files are largely empty - except for one code", reports Michael Scherer, Team Leader for the CASSIDA and CEPLATTYN product lines at FUCHS LUBRITECH GmbH in Kaiserslautern. "This is when the tablet comes into action." On the tablet, the order is called up using the code and started automatically requesting the required raw materials from high-bay warehouse.
