Lyle Ramsay’s 2017 Comsol VW Challenge Class B championship pursuit took a solid step forward following a successful third round at the Border Motorsport - East London Grand Prix Circuit on Saturday, May 20th.

The qualifying round saw the FUCHS Lubricants-sponsored Monroe Racing Team driver finishing third. The first race saw him settle for third position at the end of the 10-lap race. In the second race he finished second.

“Race 2 was really tough and I’d like to congratulate my competitor on his win. I pushed him very hard throughout the race, but he never made a single error which prevented me from making a safe pass.”

The next round of the Comsol VW Challenge championship will see the team making their second visit to Zwartkops Raceway for the season on the weekend of 15 to 17 June.
