Splendid Racing Results for Monroe, MAD and AM Racing Teams
MAD Racing - F400 Endurance Karting MAD Racing, sponsored by FUCHS Lubricants, took to the F400 Endurance Karting race.
Race 1: MAD Racing led the race and with only 7 minutes left to the finish of the 75 minute race they experienced a mechanical fault forcing them to retire the kart. This resulted in them starting in 27th position the second race.
Race 2: The second 75 minute race saw team drivers Dewald Brummer and Bevan Williams make up for the time and positions they lost in the first race and managed to finish in second position.
Race 3: The 120 minute race saw the team lead from the front again. With 15 minutes to go, Team MAD Racing took the lead and won the race by a mere 3.7 seconds. “Thank you FUCHS Lubricants for supplying the products to our team. They help enable us to achieve the results we are getting,” said Deon Brummer, team manager.
AM Racing - Phakisa Raceway 200km endurance The Phakisa Raceway 200km endurance on Saturday 22 July saw AM Racing take 4th position in the race and 2nd in the index of performance. The team is now in 4th position in the class A championship and is aiming to climb another positon or two in the next two race meetings. The next race is the Sasol race day on the 12th of August at Zwartkops Raceway.
Lyle Ramsay – VW Challenge Phakisa Ramsay had a successful weekend at the Phakisa Freeway. He finished second overall in Class B in the fifth round of the 2017 VW Challenge Championship.
On Friday evening the team left the circuit as the seventh fastest Class B entry. On Saturday, in the qualifying round Ramsay posted the second-fastest qualifying time in his class.
Race 1: The eight-lap distance race saw Ramsay finishing in second place only 0.8 of a second behind the winner.
Race 2: Ramsay started a challenge to get back to within striking distance of the leader, but he finished the race in second position. “Thank you FUCHS Lubricants for your support,” he said. The next round of the VW Challenge championship will be at Red Star Raceway outside Delmas, Mpumalanga on Saturday, September 2.
