HUD Racing takes the podium at 1000 Desert Race and MAD Racing impress at 3 hour Endurance Race
MAD Racing - 3 Hour Endurance Race and F400 Karting
MAD Racing faced a busy racing weekend with the 3 Hour endurance race and F400 Karting all taking place the same weekend.
It started off at the East London GP circuit on 24 June for the 3 Hour endurance race. Both teams of Dewald Brummer and Bevan Williams, and Heinrich and Nathan de Villiers, sponsored by FUCHS Lubricants qualified 1st and 4th respectively.
Dewald and Bevan were in sixth position in the VW Golf 1 GTi when mechanical issues brought them to a halt in the last lap of the race. However, in the spur of the moment, their teammates Heinrich and Nathan de Villiers came to their rescue, pushing their car home to cross the finish line. MAD Racing finished 1st and 2nd overall in their class.
“We would like to thank FUCHS Lubricants for the products they supply us. Our race cars ran faultlessly for a solid 3 hours. Their products give us true competitive advantage,” said Deon Brummer, team manager, MAD Racing.
The F400 Karting was set to take place at Zwartkops kart track on Sunday 25th June. Despite the MAD Racing team driving through the night to make the race the next morning at 7 o’clock. Dewald and Bevan qualified 4th. Unfortunately, mechanical issues forced the team to pull out of the race.
HUD Racing – Desert 1000 Race HUD Racing participated in the Desert 1000 race in Botswana. The team encountered a puncture which lost them some time. However, this didn’t dampen the spirits of the FUCHS Lubricants sponsored team as they managed to finish in second position, giving them a podium finish.
