Round six of the 2017 VW Challenge Championship at Redstar Raceway Delmas South Africa had the crowd in awe as Lyle Ramsay put on a spectacular performance on September 2.

The qualifying session on Saturday saw Ramsay set the second fastest time in Class B to secure a second place start on the grid.

Race 1: The FUCHS Lubricants-sponsored, MONROE Racing RSA driver, got off to a good start and despite losing control in the third lap causing him to loose a few positions, he worked his way back to the front finishing the race in third position.

Race 2: After setting the second fastest lap time in race 1, Ramsay retained his second place start on the grid for the second race. He gave it his all with the race leader, finishing in second position and giving him a second position overall for the day.

“We can’t complain about our result today, we gave it our all. Thanks to our sponsor FUCHS Lubricants South Africa for the sponsorship and support,” said Lyle Ramsay.

Lyle Ramsay’s next VW Challenge outing will be at Midvaal Raceway outside Vereeniging on Saturday, October 14.
