Monroe Racing South Africa’s Lyle Ramsay went into the seventh round of 2017 championship at Midvaal Raceway with a clear goal to win the race.

Qualifying: During Saturday morning’s qualifying session Ramsay finished in 2nd position.

Race1: In the first heat Ramsay made a good start managing to bypass the race leader. Unfortunately, he lost his lead finishing in 2nd position.

Race2: After a game of cat and mouse between race leader and Ramsey, the ten-lap race ended with him finishing in 2nd position again. Both race finishes awarded him a 2nd position overall.

“We came here with a purpose of challenging and despite not taking home any victories, we’ve improved on our performance,” said Lyle.

“This is a strong class with many talented drivers and I think we’ve shown that we’re capable of grasping the opportunities that come our way. We’re looking forward to the final two rounds of the season.”
