FUCHS Lubricants’ Fuel–Economy Engine Oil
FUCHS Lubricants South Africa has announced the extension of the profile of TITAN GT1 SAE 5W-40 a premium engine oil for passenger cars and vans. It utilises FUCHS’ new XTL-Technology which offers high performance from very-low to very-high temperatures as well as improved fuel consumption, lower oil consumption and better wear protection, especially the valve train.
The lubrication properties of XTL-Technology offer benefits in highly stressed engines, especially in engines with stop-start systems. Tests show that engines with high-power density enjoy increased lubrication and start easier and quicker.
The product is also advantageous for cars with exhaust gas after-treatment systems such as catalysts or particulate filters, keeping their conversion rate high and providing extended life.
Application:
TITAN GT1 SAE 5W-40 is suitable for vehicles running petrol, diesel or gas (LPG, CNG). The product can be applied in many vehicles of Asian manufacturers if the use of a C3 engine oil is specified.
TITAN GT1 SAE 5W-40 may only be used in diesel engines when also low sulphur diesel fuel is being used. It is miscible and compatible with conventional branded engine oils. However, mixing with other engine oils should be avoided.
After completion of the approval process, the product can now be used in applications requiring a dexos2™ approval. It can also be used in older model petrol engines. The product has a wide performance profile and can be used for a large range of different manufacturers. It is suitable for independent workshops customers with a fleet of different vehicles with SAE 5W-40 viscosity requirements.
