The annual 8-hour F400 karting endurance race took place Sunday 29 October at Zwartkops. The FUCHS Lubricants-sponsored MAD Racing team duo of Dewald Brummer and Bevan Williams faced a challenging and difficult race. The team qualified to start third on the grid.

After a few laps in the main race, the team had a puncture which saw them losing position to 28th position in the race. After a few pit stops, driver changes and refuelling, the team managed to regain position back to fifth position with a hour and a half of the race to go.

The team took a decision to push hard which paid off as they managed to win the race with a record breaking victory. They were the only team to achieve more than 500 laps.

“We owe part of our success as a team to FUCHS Lubricants, their products really do give us the competitive advantage needed by any team to win a race,” said Deon Brummer, team manager. The last race of the season will be held at Vereeniging Kart Track on the 12th of November.
