Some types of waste can be used to produce lubricants. This introduces a new approach that can save on costs and the environment, and could be the key to smarter production.

Renewable raw materials found in eco-friendly hydraulic oils are already being used. Complementing this are innovative projects such as the German ZeroCarb FP research alliance, of which FUCHS Lubricants is part. One of the projects within the alliance is reviewing the use of waste to manufacture new products, including lubricants.

TITAN GANYMET ULTRA is a Premium gas engine oil and combines selected premium base oils with specially optimised zinc-free additives developed by FUCHS Lubricants. It is applicable for operation with natural gas as well as with aggressive gases (sewage gas, landfill gas, biogases and wood gases). This zinc- free product with medium sulfated ash content is suitable for all types of stationary gas engines.

Machine breakdown and unplanned production stoppages are expensive. Quite often, the problems are related to the oil. Approximately 80 percent of breakdowns are caused by contaminated oil and poor filtration. This can be avoided by means of regular oil analyses.

Environmentally-adapted lubricants are available in many industries. Degradable and renewable have been key words in the development journey that began 30 years ago and paved the way for today’s high-performance products.
